A simple and efficient application, which allows you to install and run Windows from a USB drive, using an ISO image or even a CD / DVD
WinToUSB is an efficient tool that allows you to install and run the Windows operating system on a flash disk or USB drive from an ISO image or a CD/DVD.

The wizard-style interface provides step-by-step instructions for installing Windows on a USB drive or flash disk and offers compatibility with the Windows NT 6.x (7/8/8.1/10/11/2008 R2/2008 R2) family of operating systems. 2012/2012R2).

You can use any edition of Windows 8(.1) to create a Windows To Go USB drive, and it even supports MBR and GPT disk layouts. WinToUSB also supports creating a bootable WinPE USB drive, it can help transfer the contents of WinPE to the USB drive and make the drive bootable.

Editions: Enterprise/Professional/Technician

*Windows Vista/7/2008 (R2) does not have built-in USB 3.0 support, so you will need to boot from a USB 2.0 port.

*USB flash drives are very slow. It takes a long time to install and run Windows from a USB flash drive, so using a USB hard drive is recommended.

*Windows To Go drives can be booted on different PCs, so you can take them anywhere and use them on any computer. Windows 7 is not totally portable. You may have activation and driver issues when booting on different computers.

Version 6.8 (05/16/2022)
